Cut Wire Pellets are available in two forms; Standard Cut Wire for blast cleaning and
Conditioned Cut Wire Pellets for peening.
Standard Cut Wire Pellets Metabrasive CWP are available in high and medium tensile forms. They are used
in the foundry and construction industries for applications such as de-sanding,
cleaning and scale-removal. The shape and quality of the cut wire pellets offer a fast
removal of surface contaminants as well as a long abrasive life. However, CWP can
present problems with accelerated machine wear.
Metabrasive Standard CWP are available in sizes 0.3 to 2.5mm.
Conditioned Cut Wire Pellets The exacting process of shot peening relies for its efficiency on the critical
control of a media where particle size, hardness and density is both consistent in its
original form and also resists any rapid change in particle size during its life cycle.
In the metallic peening industries, no other media can match the ability of the
conditioned cut wire pellet to satisfy all of these requirements.
Metabrasive Conditioned CWP are produced from 'cylinders' of wire equal in length to
the diameter, which by the 'Rounding off" process known as conditioning, produces
a virtual one-size, 100% solid, near spherical media. Cut Wire Pellets wear down at a
gradual rate, this provides an unbeatable consistency of impact intensity and reduces
the necessity for classification equipment in the peening plant.
Metabrasive Conditioned CWP are manufactured in three forms G1, G2, G3 and are available
in sizes from 0.3 to 1.4mm. However, specifications to meet all requirements can be
produced to the customer's needs. Download CWP Data Sheet in pdf format
