Since 1980, Metabrasive has
been a member of the international Winoa which is
acknowledged as the largest and foremost authority in the manufacture, application and
development of abrasives worldwide. Winoa is based near
Grenoble, France and manufactures metallic abrasives in Europe, the Far East, South Africa
and North and South America
Metabrasive Ltd. has all the
advantages of being part of a responsible, dynamic and forward looking multinational company
and can therefore also draw upon the knowledge and expertise that exists world wide within
the Winoa. As well as having direct links to the
various group sites, Metabrasive has two sites in the UK. The Wolverhampton site where
Metabrasive Ltd. has its headquarters and from where it supplies metallic
abrasive (Steel, Iron and Cut Wire Pellets) for Metabrasive customers, and
the Stillington site (NEIR) which manufactures Chilled Iron Abrasive.
Metabrasive Ltd. moved to the Wolverhampton Science Park in 2005, having been based in Bilston, near Wolverhampton since 1953. The move was prompted by the reorganisation and rationalisation of Wheelabrator Allevard Group's manufacturing facilities.
